COCOTEK® ORGANIC GROWING MEDIUM

CocoTek® will break down on its own in three years. Better still, you can run it through a chipper and amend your soil with it. CocoTek® is incredibly strong, which makes it a better candidate for use with enzyme products that convert roots to biomass. All the cubes and slabs have been designed with perforated holes to fit rooting plugs.

COCOTEK® COCONUT COIR BRICK™
Organic Growing Media

CocoTek coconut brick is a compressed brick of low sodium coconut coir. Growers are encouraged to mix CocoTek Organic Growing Medium with an equal amount of Hydroton (clay pellets), or combined with other hydroponic media in various proportions. Our new highly-compressed and improved brick absorbs moisture more quickly, giving users the same amount of coir as our previous larger sized brick after expansion. CocoTek makes messy brick separation unnecessary. Just drop CocoTek in approximately one gallon of fresh water or light nutrient solution and allow it to expand to approximately 1/3 of a cubic foot of CocoTek coir. Try this brick and you’ll be astounded!

COCOTEK® MIXED BRICK™
Organic Growing Media

CocoTek coconut brick is a compressed brick of low sodium coconut coir mixed with coconut husk chips. Growers are generally encouraged to mix CocoTek Organic Growing Medium with Hydroton (clay pellets), also work well when combined with other hydroponic media in various proportions. Like our new coir brick, our new and improved coir/chip mixed brick absorbs moisture more quickly and is more compressed, yielding the same volume of media as our old larger sized brick in the end. Try this brick for superior structure in your media.

CocoTek Grow Mats are designed to lie underneath Baskets, Slabs, and Cubes, and can be easily cut to fit any size. Not only will roots grow under the Mats where moisture remains between flood cycles, but the Mats will also protect these roots from drying out. Gardeners have been discovering inventive alternative uses for our CocoTek Grow Mats; what’s yours?

CocoTek® Grow mats are made from a strong weave containing 100% organic coconut fiber and natural rubber.

Roots will thrive in this natural media. These mats can be easily cut to fit any size application. They are designed to lay underneath baskets, slabs and cubes. Roots will grow under mats where moisture remains in a hydroponic tray between flood cycles pro tect ing them from drying out.

CocoTek® is pH bal anced, and con tains the lowest known sodium content for coir fibre. It increases water holding capacity and nutrient retention, expanding to 5 times it’s condensed brick size (1 brick expands to 3-1/2 gallons).

CocoTek® can be mixed with any other growing media (Perlite, Grow Rocks, soil, etc.) to make the desired final mixture. The mixed brick has larger particulates than the standard coconut brick. The mixed brick contains coconut chips, fiber & fine coir to increase the structure of the media.
